Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s Teenager Unveils Their New Name

The 15-year-old child of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner has officially revealed their new name.

Affleck’s past and present relationships with singer Jennifer Lopez have intersected with his 2005–2018 marriage to Garner.

The former couple shares three children

18-year-old Violet, 12-year-old Samuel, and their middle child, who is 15. The latter has now adopted a new name.

Last Saturday, the teenager attended a memorial service for Jennifer’s father.

The service was held on April 6 at Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, West Virginia. Thus honored the life of William Garner.

Sporting a buzz-cut hairstyle and a black pantsuit, the teen stepped onto the stage and introduced themselves, saying, “Hello, my name is Fin Affleck.” Watch the moment below:

Fin then read a passage from the Book of Proverbs, Chapter 16, Verse 8: “Better is a little with righteousness than a large income with injustice.”

This marked Fin’s first public appearance

The name was revealed during the live-streamed memorial service. However, the name had surfaced earlier—embroidered on their backpack. Just days before, Fin was seen embracing their mother, Jennifer, at a Los Angeles bus station.

Due to their private nature and limited social media presence, little is known about Fin. However, reports from Daily Mail suggest they share a close bond with their step-sibling, Emme Maribel Muñiz.

The two were last seen together in February. Emme, the 16-year-old child of Lopez and Marc Anthony, also uses gender-neutral pronouns.

On April 1, Jennifer Garner, 51, shared a heartfelt Instagram post announcing the passing of her father at age 85.

“My dad passed peacefully Saturday afternoon. We were with him, singing Amazing Grace as he left us (did we carry him across or scare him away—valid question). While there is no tragedy in the death of an 85-year-old man who lived a healthy, wonderful life, I know grief is unavoidable, waiting around unexpected corners,” she wrote.

The Adam Project star continued: “Today is for gratitude.”

“We are grateful for Dad’s gentle demeanor and quiet strength. For how he teased with a mischievous smile, and for the way he invented the role of an all-in, ever-patient girl dad. We are grateful for his work ethic, leadership, and faith.”

Garner also expressed appreciation for the medical teams at City of Hope and Charleston Area Medical Center, whom she credited for “extending his life.”

Our thoughts remain with the Garner family during this difficult time.
