Frankie Muniz reckons he still isn’t getting respect whilst out on the track.
The former ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ star was competing this weekend in NASCAR’s Truck Series, but found himself forced into Connor Mosack at Atlanta Motor Speedway during the Fr8 208, resulting in him being unable to finish the race.
Much has been made of Muniz’s transition to racing. The 39-year-old finished 10th in the season opener last week at Daytona International Speedway in his fifth Truck Series race.

However, Muniz still believes he is being disrespected out on the track whilst racing. “I definitely don’t get respect out there — 100 percent, nobody goes with me,” Muniz told FOX Sports after heading to the track medical center.
“Someone put me three wide, pushed me up into the car that was on my outside, and we were out. We were close to the top 10, which is a great showing for my team.
“I don’t think anyone expects us to run there [in the top 10] so the fact [is good] that we were there on merit, no lucky breaks — we raced our way up there.
“I’m obviously upset because I felt like we were just cruising; I was just trying to make it to the end because I knew we were going to be in a good position.
“I’m hoping to earn respect out there, you know what I mean? And I hope, with how tight I was racing people and I was fairly clean the entire time, hopefully that will be the case.
“But until I keep doing it, it’s going to be tough.”
