Jennifer Lopez has reportedly lost contact with one of Ben Affleck’s children amid claims that she was ‘used as a pawn’ during the couple’s divorce.
The star had initially filed for divorce on August 20, 2024, at a Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing April 26, 2024, as the date of separation.
Throughout their three-year union, JLo and Ben mingled their clans; she was frequently seen alongside his kids and vice versa.
Post-divorce sightings of the pair with their respective broods were not uncommon; JLo co-parents twins Max and Emme, 16, with ex Marc Anthony, whereas Ben shares three youths—Violet Anne, 19, Fin, 16, and Samuel, 12—with Jennifer Garner.
But a close relationship with one of Ben’s offspring appears to have dissipated for JLo.

A Daily Mail source disclosed feelings of manipulation from Violet, who believed she was “used as a pawn” amid her father’s split with JLo.
“Violet felt like she was used as a pawn so to speak during her dad’s split from JLo. Jen [Garner] supported her daughter getting close to the singer because she always puts her children first.”
Furthermore, as the divorce neared, Violet’s interactions with JLo grew strained, with her sporting JLo’s attire and receiving visits from Lynda Lopez at college seeming out of place to the family.
Lynda Lopez is the younger sister of superstar Jennifer Lopez, who appears to be taking a laid-back approach regarding family dynamics.
An insider shared: “Jen even let this slide, because she wants Violet to be happy and respects that, as an adult, she can choose who to spend her time with even if Jen does not necessarily agree.”
