A growing list of U.S. celebrities has emerged in the Jeffrey Epstein files, shedding light on the late financierās connections.
Epstein, who died by suicide in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges, remains a subject of intense public scrutiny due to his ties to figures across politics, entertainment, and high society.
The term āEpstein filesā has been dogging President Trumpās administration for months as the fallout from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epsteinās crimes keeps making headlines.
After weeks of holding back, Trump finally flipped and called on Republicans to release the Epstein files to the public.
On November 12, the U.S. House Oversight Committee released more than 20,000 pages of documents related to Epsteinās alleged crimes. The files include flight logs, court records, private emails, and other materials that provide a clearer picture of his network and activities.
This release is just the beginning. Following a Senate vote on November 18, the Justice Department is required to make even more investigative files public by December 19.
These upcoming materials include 40 computers, 26 storage drives, 70 CDs, and six recording devices ā nearly 300 gigabytes of potential evidence. Additionally, 60 physical items have been cataloged, including visitor records from Epsteinās infamous private island, one of the alleged locations of abuse.
High-profile Americans
Several prominent Americans appear in the released documents.
Former President Bill ClintonĀ is mentioned, alongsideĀ Robert F. Kennedy Jr.Ā andĀ former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers.
President Donald TrumpĀ is cited roughly 1,500 times, primarily in media coverage dating back to his 2016 campaign. Trump has denied any wrongdoing, saying he āsevered ties with Epstein in the early 2000s.ā
His ex-wifeĀ Marla MaplesĀ and daughterĀ Tiffany TrumpĀ are also listed in flight logs connected to Epsteinās private jet.
Entertainment figures also appear:Ā Mick JaggerĀ is mentioned nine times,Ā Michael JacksonĀ is listed in Epsteinās personal contact book, andĀ Courtney LoveĀ andĀ Chris TuckerĀ are included.
Of course, Ghislaine Maxwell, Epsteinās convicted accomplice, is referenced 135 times, and her father Robert Maxwell appears 47 times ā reflecting their close involvement in Epsteinās activities.
British celebrities and royals
The files also include several British figures.
Prince Andrew, formerly Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, is the most frequently named, appearing 173 times. He has āceaselessly denied allegations of abuse,ā including claims from Virginia Giuffre, who alleges he had sexual contact with her when she was underage. These allegations led to the stripping of some of his royal titles.
Sarah Ferguson, Andrewās ex-wife, appears nine times, including emails where she referred to Epstein as a ādear friend,ā resulting in the loss of her Duchess of York title.
Queen CamillaĀ is mentioned nine times, though officials have stressed thereās no indication of a personal relationship.Ā Princess DianaĀ appears 14 times, without any proven link to Epstein.
Other British figures includeĀ Nigel Farage, cited 18 times in emails with Steve Bannon, though no connections to Epstein have been confirmed. Three former UK Prime Ministers āĀ Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, and David CameronĀ ā also appear, though their involvement remains unclear.
Context and caution
Itās important to remember that being mentioned in the Epstein files does not automatically suggest participation in his crimes. Some individuals appear only through media references or third-party communications.
For those directly implicated, like Maxwell, legal action has already occurred, Maxwell was convicted for her role in Epsteinās abuse network.
