Andy Reid might be one of the NFL’s most seasoned coaches, but when it comes to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s possible engagement? He’s not giving much away and that’s only making fans more suspicious.
With Kelce and Swift approaching nearly two years together, the engagement buzz is at a full roar. But Reid, who’s coached Kelce for over a decade, is keeping things cryptic and that’s exactly how Swifties like it.
“I hear you…” — but no confirmation
The Kansas City Chiefs head coach was recently asked about the couple during an appearance on Up and Adams with Kay Adams, who jokingly suggested he might need to tailor a tuxedo for Kelce’s big day.

Reid’s response? A dry laugh and a “Yeah, yeah, yeah… no, I hear you, I hear you.”
That’s it.
But in classic Reid fashion, even a chuckle felt loaded. Fans immediately began speculating that he knows more than he’s letting on and is simply trying not to steal any spotlight.
After all, this isn’t the first time Reid’s comments have stirred up “Traylor” wedding theories. Just last week, said there are stories he can’t tell, but praised Kelce’s generosity and the good things he’s done off the field.
“He’s done so many good things… helping people out. He’s got a big heart that way,” Reid told 96.5 The Fan. “There are a few stories I can’t tell.”
Cue the rumor mill.
Two years in — and a ring in sight?
Travis and Taylor first connected in summer 2023, when Kelce famously tried to give the pop star a friendship bracelet at her Eras Tour show. Two Super Bowls, several sold-out albums, and a viral podcast appearance later, the couple’s relationship is still going strong.
And now, as October approaches (with Kelce’s birthday and Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl album drop both landing that week), fans are wondering: Will there be a double celebration?
Even NFL insiders can’t help but join the speculation. Reid’s vague answers, paired with Kelce’s recent public displays of affection, have fans convinced an engagement announcement is coming sooner than later.
Chiefs stay locked in — even with wedding talk in the air
While the off-field buzz continues, Reid is laser-focused on what’s happening on the turf. Following the Chiefs’ 33-16 preseason loss to the Seahawks, he didn’t sugarcoat the performance, even calling out receiver Skyy Moore despite his 88-yard punt return.
“He had a couple of drops, three bobbles overall on special teams and passes, before coming back with a big play,” Reid admitted. “It wasn’t his best night up to that point, but I’m proud of him for the way he responded.”
With Patrick Mahomes targeting new faces like Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, and the team chasing redemption after a crushing Super Bowl loss, it’s clear the Chiefs have their eye on a different kind of ring: the Lombardi Trophy.
But let’s be honest. If a diamond one appears first, Reid’s probably already picked out his tux.
