Taylor Swift has entered her “sourdough era,” and she’s kneading no introduction.
The pop superstar revealed on the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce that she’s developed a full-blown obsession with baking sourdough bread at home — and it’s become her favorite new hobby.
Taylor Swift’s new hobby: Baking sourdough bread
During the podcast, Swift joked that “about 60 percent” of her daily conversations are now about bread making. She laughed that her hobbies these days “could all be from the 1700s,” listing sewing, painting, and, of course, baking sourdough bread.
Swift’s sourdough creations aren’t just your standard bakery fare. She’s baked everything from classic artisan loaves to creative flavors like blueberry-lemon, cinnamon swirl, cinnamon raisin, and even a rainbow Funfetti sourdough loaf — made especially for Jason Kelce’s daughters.
The superstar bakes for all of her friends
Swift doesn’t just keep her loaves to herself. She revealed that she’s constantly texting friends with offers to send them bread, asking for feedback on different rises and flavors. She even sent a homemade sourdough loaf to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco for Gomez’s 33rd birthday, along with a candle and a cheeky note reading, “It’s a loaf story.”
Travis Kelce isn’t complaining about the carb-filled kitchen takeover. On the podcast, he joked that he’s “the luckiest man in the world” and called Swift a “loafer for life,” fully embracing her bread-baking journey.
Taylor Swift’s sourdough bread hobby might be new, but if there’s one thing Swifties know, it’s that she turns every era into an art form. And in this case, that art smells like fresh bread straight out of the oven.
