President Donald Trump has been declared in good health after his initial official physical examination of his second term — and the findings are noteworthy.
On Friday, April 11, President Trump, aged 78, visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he spent several hours undergoing a comprehensive medical assessment before heading to his Mar-a-Lago resort for the weekend.
The White House disclosed the findings on Sunday, April 13, through a detailed memo from Dr. Sean Barbabella, the president’s physician. The report offered details regarding Trump’s current medications, recent weight loss, and his overall fitness for duty.
As per Dr. Barbabella, President Trump is currently prescribed two medications — Rosuvastatin and Ezetimibe — to help maintain healthy cholesterol levels, in addition to a daily low-dose aspirin for heart protection. Trump also applies Mometasone cream as needed for a minor skin issue.
Standing at an impressive height of 6-foot-3, the president currently weighs 224 pounds, marking a notable decrease from his previous weight of 244 pounds during his 2020 term. This 20-pound reduction in weight demonstrates the president’s commitment to leading a healthier lifestyle.
Dr. Barbabella commended Trump’s physical state, asserting that the commander-in-chief is “fully fit” to carry out his responsibilities. The president’s busy daily routine, which encompasses numerous meetings, public engagements, and regular golf sessions, was noted as a significant contributor to his excellent health.
The memo further indicated that President Trump had cataract surgery on both eyes at an undisclosed time, and in July 2024, he underwent a routine colonoscopy that identified a benign polyp and minor diverticulosis — both of which are typical findings in older adults.
All of Trump’s vaccinations, including those required for international travel, are current, ensuring he remains safeguarded while representing America overseas.
“President Trump continues to exhibit strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function,” Dr. Barbabella remarked, underscoring the president’s impressive stamina at the age of 78.
Earlier this week, President Trump expressed his excitement on Truth Social, stating, “I have never felt better, but nonetheless, these important checkups must be done!”

Following his historic inauguration in January as the oldest individual to assume the presidency, Trump is poised to achieve another milestone by completing his second term in excellent health.
Throughout his initial term, Trump encountered criticism for his selective disclosure of medical information. After surviving an assassination attempt in July 2024, during which a bullet grazed his ear, his campaign disseminated a memo from former White House physician Rep. Ronny Jackson, who expressed full support for the president’s medical care and recovery.
In spite of sporadic media conjecture regarding Trump’s memory and cognitive abilities, the most recent physical examination report indicates no issues. Some adversaries, including journalist Ramin Setoodeh, have alleged memory deficiencies based on interviews; however, there is no clinical evidence to substantiate these claims.

Even relatives such as Fred C. Trump III, who expressed his worries to PEOPLE magazine, have been disregarded by Trump’s campaign as disseminating “fake news” in the lead-up to the contentious 2024 election.
Conversely, Trump’s most recent medical evaluation highlights what his supporters have consistently maintained: President Trump continues to be sharp, robust, and more resolute than ever in his commitment to advancing America.
