Vice President Vance defended the Trump administration’s management of documents concerning convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during a press conference held in Canton, Ohio, after an event promoting the “Big, Beautiful Bill.”
“The president has been very clear. We’re not concealing anything,” Vance stated in reply to a reporter’s inquiry earlier this week. “He’s been remarkably transparent regarding those matters, but some of those issues require time.”
The Hill reported on Wednesday that the uproar from the MAGA base regarding the Epstein case places Vance in a ‘politically sensitive position,’ particularly in light of his previous comments about the convicted sex offender. The release of a memo by the FBI and the Department of Justice confirming that Epstein died by suicide only heightened the backlash.
Vance reportedly served as a behind-the-scenes mediator among Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino, after Bongino allegedly threatened to resign during the week the memo was released. Aside from that role, Vance largely refrained from commenting as the administration sought to handle the repercussions.
Now, several weeks later, the fervor of the controversy has started to diminish within the MAGA movement, even as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal published articles investigating former President Trump’s past connections to Epstein, claims that Trump has consistently and vehemently denied.
Importantly, the reports did not assert that Trump ever participated in any wrongful conduct involving underage girls, and no one has come forward to make such claims. Instead, the reports appeared to be more aimed at casting innuendo and insinuation against Trump, given that his past association with Epstein is well-documented.

In Ohio, Vance remarked that the Democrats and the left-leaning media seem to be showing interest in the story only now, as they perceive it to be politically detrimental to Trump — a notion that recent polling does not support.
“For four years, under the Department of Justice led by Joe Biden, the media showed no concern for the Epstein files or the Epstein case,” he stated. He further criticized the Bush and Obama administrations for not conducting a “thorough” investigation into the matter.
“Donald J. Trump, I assure you, he has nothing to conceal,” he added.
Concerning the president, a segment of a transcript featuring testimony from the late Virginia Giuffre, one of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims, has emerged, contradicting the Democratic Party’s assertion that Trump was involved in the late financier’s illicit activities with underage females.
The transcript reveals Giuffre, who tragically took her own life earlier this year, being interrogated about Trump’s connection to Epstein and whether he participated in any illegal sexual conduct with minors.
In her testimony, Giuffre stated that she did not remember ever seeing Trump and Epstein together, that the future president never “flirted” with her or made any sexual advances, and that Trump never visited Epstein’s residences in New York, New Mexico, or the notorious island where numerous instances of sexual abuse of minors reportedly occurred.
The reemergence of this testimony exonerating Trump coincides with the left-wing mainstream media and Democrats demanding that the administration disclose information regarding Epstein and his purported ‘client list,’ suggesting that the president may have been involved in inappropriate conduct.
It is important to highlight that the same Democrats and media organizations showed no interest in the information or Epstein’s previously alleged crimes during President Joe Biden’s four-year administration.
