Taylor Swift reportedly made a major break with tradition over the July 4th weekend—by opting to skip out on her annual trip to her Rhode Island mansion in favor of taking a romantic getaway with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The 35-year-old pop star has a long history of celebrating the Fourth of July by hosting a big bash at her historic Watch Hill abode, which she purchased for $17.75 million in 2013.
However, last year, she was forced to skip out on the soiree because she was busy traveling for her “Eras Tour”—although she made up for lost time by hosting several of her A-list pals at the home in August, when she was joined by Kelce, his teammate Patrick Mahomes, and her friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
Many of her fans had assumed that the singer might have taken advantage of her slower travel schedule this year to go back to tradition. Yet, according to a new report by DeuxMoi, that wasn’t the case.
Instead, the singer is understood to have spent the holiday weekend in Montana, where she and Kelce are said to have enjoyed a stay at the ultraexclusive members-only Yellowstone Club, an incredibly luxurious venue that has been frequented by celebrities over the years.

According to Page Six, the duo’s holiday plans were shared in the newest installment of the DeuxMoi newsletter, which stated that Swift and Kelce were seen by an eagle-eyed fan at the Big Sky property.
Interestingly, shortly after that newsletter was sent out, Kelce appeared to confirm the news, when he was spotted wearing a Yellowstone Club T-shirt during an episode of “New Heights,” the podcast he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce.
It would not be the first time that the couple have journeyed to the picturesque locale—which counts the likes of Bill Gates, Justin Timberlake, Mark Zuckerberg, and Tom Brady among its members.
According to reports, the duo jetted off to stay there in March, when they were spotted spending time with sports broadcaster Erin Andrews at a nearby restaurant.
What remains unclear is whether their trips to the club are a sign that they might have invested in a property inside the ultraexclusive club—where membership fees reportedly top $78,000 a year, in addition to a joining fee, which was said to have been around $400,000 in 2018.
However, before you can even be eligible for membership, you must purchase a property in the club’s luxurious community. It offers a range of options for buyers, from plots of land, or “homesites,” to condos and custom megamansions.
Each of the properties listed on the website is done so without a price—that information is available only upon request. Previously, dwellings in the club were known to have sold for millions.
In return for handing over such a hefty chunk of change, members are treated to an array of very luxurious amenities, including a private ski resort, an 18-course golf course, and a concierge service that will help to ensure that every moment of your time spent at the club is as carefree as possible, according to its website.
Additionally, members are within just a short distance of Yellowstone National Park, which boasts a wealth of options for activities, should they tire of the many amenities on offer inside the club’s walls.

Should Kelce and Swift be considering the purchase of a Yellowstone Club property, they have plenty of options to choose from—with more than 10 custom mansions currently on the market, while five plots of land are listed.
Although it’s unclear why the “Bad Blood” singer chose not to visit her Rhode Island property for the July 4th break this year, it might well be because the home is still undergoing renovations.
The residence—which is located in the exclusive enclave of Watch Hill in Westerly and is known locally as “Holiday House”—currently measures 11,000 square feet and features seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
It was revealed at the start of the year that Swift was carrying out some extensive renovations, which will see the property outfitted with an additional bedroom, while one of the existing rooms will be turned into an “enlarged bedroom suite,” according to the planning application.
In total, the project will add 400 square feet to the property.
Although it is not known when the construction began, the renovation plans were drawn up on Nov. 25 and Dec. 4, 2024, before Swift’s final “Eras Tour” show on Dec. 8, with an expiration date of Dec. 4, 2025.
The renovation will be completed by a team of Rhode Island–based contractors, led by David W. Shafovaloff, who is located in Hope Valley and describes himself on LinkedIn as a “self employed construction project manager” who specializes in “high end residential and commercial construction.”
In addition to its many bedrooms and bathrooms, Swift’s opulent home currently features a 36-foot-long parlor and an octagonal dining room.
The extravagant seaside estate was built in 1930 and once belonged to composer and socialite Rebekah Harkness, who was married to William Hale “Bill” Harkness.
