Sex and the City’s Kristin Davis Glows in Fresh-Faced Selfie After Dissolving Fillers

The 59-year-old actress appeared rejuvenated in a recent headshot, indicating that the notorious beauty treatment is firmly in her past and has been completely abandoned.

In a newly shared close-up photo on Wednesday, the Sex and the City star showcased her age-defying appearance with minimal makeup.

Davis appeared significantly younger than her actual age as she smiled confidently for the camera, also displaying her natural wavy hair, much to the delight of her Instagram followers.

In 2021, the And Just Like That… actress opted to dissolve her cosmetic fillers after receiving continuous criticism online for her use of fillers and Botox.

“It’s challenging to be constantly reminded of your younger self,” she shared with UK’s The Telegraph last June. “It’s difficult to remember that you don’t need to look that way. The internet expects you to — yet at the same time, they don’t want you to. It’s a very conflicting situation.”

Davis, who portrayed Charlotte York-Goldenblatt over six seasons of Sex and the City, mentioned that she is perpetually confronted with her appearance from her 30s, which has led to a decline in her self-esteem.

“I have undergone fillers, and while it has been beneficial at times, there have also been negative experiences,” the actress elaborated. “I’ve had to have them dissolved and have faced relentless ridicule. It has caused me to shed tears. It’s incredibly stressful.

She elaborated that instead of holding the surgeons accountable, individuals directed their blame towards her for the unsatisfactory appearance of the filters. “People take it personally when things go awry,” she remarked, further stating: “For a long time, no one informed me that it did not look appealing, but fortunately, I have good friends who eventually spoke up.”

The celebrity’s new position against cosmetic enhancements is in harmony with her former SATC co-star Kim Cattrall’s views. Cattrall, who portrayed Samantha Jones in the original HBO series, expressed to the Daily Mail in April 2011 her desire to “embrace aging because I believe that is what is truly fascinating.”

She further commented at that time: “A forehead devoid of any lines does not convey to me that they have experienced life.”
