Jeanine Pirro, the former Fox News anchor, commenced her temporary position as U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia by revealing the sentencing of two individuals connected to a drive-by shooting that occurred near an elementary school in D.C.
Rasheed Mullins, aged 27, was sentenced to 90 months in federal prison, while Josiah Warfield, aged 24, received a sentence of 100 months, both followed by five years of supervised release. Each individual pleaded guilty to the charge of assault with intent to murder.
The office of Pirro has also declared the indictment of Te’Vaughn Brown, aged 20, on charges of felony assault.
Her appointment comes after Senator Thom Tillis obstructed the prior nominee due to issues related to January 6.
Fox News extended its best wishes to Pirro, while Alina Habba is under consideration to succeed her on The Five.
