Fox & Friends Icon Steve Doocy Moving To New Role

Veteran Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy has declared his intention to transition to a different position within the network, taking a modest step back from his current role.

Doocy, who has been a co-host on Fox News’ premier morning program since its launch nearly three decades ago, will move to a new role as the primary host for the remote assignments that Fox & Friends has been recognized for throughout the years.

Ainsley Earhardt, Lawrence Jones, and Brian Kilmeade will present the program from the studios located in New York City, while Doocy will participate remotely from Florida.

For the past three decades, whenever my alarm clock rings at 3:30 AM, if it disturbs my wife Kathy, she invariably remarks, ‘It’s time to make the donuts.’ To which I respond, ‘Indeed, it is time to make the donuts.’ Consequently, I rise and prepare for work. Can you imagine how many mornings my alarm has sounded at 3:30?

According to AI, it has occurred 6,828 times. That, ladies and gentlemen, amounts to a significant number of donuts. While it is a rewarding job, the hours are quite challenging. (Laughter) Ainsley and I have discussed for years the difficulty of rushing back from our weekend engagements to be live on this couch at 6 A.M. on Monday,” Doocy expressed, becoming emotional.

It is essential for us to acknowledge the significance of the curvy couch in the show. This leads me to an important announcement. After many years of waking up at 3:30 AM and commuting to New York City in the early hours, today marks my final day hosting this show from the couch.

I am not retiring or departing from the show; I will continue as a host, but it is time for a transition. Suzanne Scott, the CEO of Fox News Media and a long-time friend of mine, and I have been exploring what a person who has been waking up at 3:30 AM for two generations should pursue next. Suzanne has presented me with an excellent opportunity to continue my involvement with this show, albeit not on a daily basis.

Effective immediately, I will be working three days each week. This arrangement is reminiscent of the Johnny Carson show format. As you may recall, Johnny conducted his work over three days in Burbank, while I will be operating from Florida.

Consequently, it is likely that you will not see me in a necktie again. (Laughter) The choice of Florida is strategic, as it will facilitate my reporting from Florida and other regions of America that typically receive limited network coverage.

My travels will take me from the Carolinas to the Florida Keys, and from the heartland of America to Mar-a-Lago,” Doocy elaborated.

Tomorrow, Kathy and I will travel to Washington D.C. to visit our two-week-old grandson, George. We will also meet my son, Peter, along with his wife, Hillary, and their two-year-old daughter, Bridget, who will be enjoying the first serving of coast-to-coast host French toast.

Following this, we will proceed to Dallas, where Sally and her husband, Ali, have recently moved into a new home with their two-year-old son, Arthur. They required additional space as Sally is expecting a boy in July. L.J. has informed me that Dallas is particularly lovely in July.

Additionally, my daughter-in-law, Mary, and her husband, Marshall, often need assistance with their dog, Peanut, so Gaga and Grandpa are setting out to pamper all of our children and grandchildren.

Regarding the cast on the couch, whom I hold in great affection, if this were to be my final day working with you, I would undoubtedly be emotional, as you are aware. However, following a brief hiatus, I will return to the show through the wonders of television, where I can assure you that someone will inquire whether Ainsley is genuinely as kind as she appears,” Doocy remarked.
