A woman has disclosed how feigning support for Donald Trump enabled her to eliminate her college debt.
Known online as Princess Q, she shared her experience of portraying herself as a fervent MAGA supporter to secure financial assistance. Faced with challenges in meeting her university expenses, she discovered an unconventional method to obtain funds swiftly. By appealing to individuals motivated by political sentiments, she successfully financed her education. In a tweet, she expressed her appreciation to Trump supporters for their generosity, stating, “I want to extend a huge thank you to the Trump supporters who helped me graduate debt-free, relocate to Los Angeles, and establish myself in social media and marketing psychology, which ultimately launched my career.”
Her bold assertion gained widespread attention. In 2018, Princess Q went viral after tweeting that her parents had severed financial ties with her due to her political beliefs. She claimed that they refused to cover her tuition because she publicly identified as a Black Trump supporter. Declaring, “I will not hide any longer,” she donned a Make America Great Again bucket hat and sought assistance through a GoFundMe page, presenting herself as a young Black Republican and appealing for financial support from the online community.
What began as a lighthearted jest soon transformed into a serious situation. Princess Q characterized her actions as a “joke,” inspired by another Black woman who had shared her experience as a Trump supporter, intending to satirize that narrative. However, her scheme quickly spiraled beyond her original intentions.She asserted that she had returned the funds she collected, but later confessed that this aspect of her narrative was fabricated to evade criticism.
She remarked, “The Trump supporters noticed my previous tweets about Obama and realized I might have been dishonest.”
In light of the unfolding events, Princess Q contemplates her decisions and the responses they elicited.
She recognizes that her actions were perilous and could have resulted in severe consequences.
Nonetheless, she believes that her actions highlighted significant issues, such as the difficulties of affording higher education and the inadequate minimum wage faced by many individuals.
