Aaron De Niro, the son of Robert De Niro, recently made a rare public appearance in New York, drawing attention with his striking fashion sense. The 29-year-old was spotted with long pink dreadlocks tucked beneath a black headscarf, complemented by an oversized black hoodie, patterned leggings, heeled boots, and a black leather backpack adorned with pink accents. His distinctive style elicited a variety of reactions online, with some individuals commending his fashion choices while others questioned his intentions.
Opinions on social media were divided. Some users defended his freedom of self-expression, with one commenter asserting, “Personal fashion choices are personal business. The media should refrain from creating controversy over how individuals choose to dress.” Conversely, others expressed skepticism, with one remarking, “It’s the latest trend to seek attention. I wish they would revert to less outrageous acts like eating Tide Pods.”
Aaron and his twin brother, Julian, were born in 1995 through surrogacy to Robert De Niro and actress Toukie Smith. Although Aaron has largely remained out of the limelight, he lent his voice to a character in the 2020 film “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.”
Robert De Niro has consistently supported his children’s decisions, stating, “For my kids, I tell them, if you want to be an actor or pursue any path, that’s perfectly fine as long as you find happiness. Just don’t compromise your worth.”
