IMPORTANT FACT ABOUT THE IDF: After U.S. President Trump completed his announcement regarding ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel on US national TV live on Friday, October 10, 2025, one of the attending correspondents asks Trump: “How confident is he that the ceasefire will hold?” Trump’s answer: “I think it will hold. Yeah. I think it will hold. Do not forget, you had October 7th, which was a horrible day, 1,200 people were killed, but Hamas has lost 58,000 of its people.” His exact words. This means that Israel’s ratio of militants : civilians in the Gaza Strip is roughly 6.4 : 1, which is unprecedented LOW in modern urban warfare. This LOW ratio between militants : civilians has NEVER been accomplished by another army in the world in any urban warfare since 1945. Since 1945, there have been more than 200 major conflicts in urban settings (i.e., urban areas such as towns and cities). Not one of these past conflicts has been even close to Israel’s militants : civilians LOW ratio; this is a huge accomplishment by the IDF. Wow.
