Nearly two weeks after the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk, Fox News host Jesse Watters has broken his silence with a brief but heartfelt message.
On Monday morning, the 42-year-old Primetime anchor posted a photo from Kirk’s memorial service at State Farm Stadium near Phoenix, Arizona, where tens of thousands gathered to honor the late conservative activist.
A VIP Farewell
Watters, dressed in a navy suit with a baby blue shirt and red tie, sat beside his wife, Emma, who wore a navy blazer and pants with a white blouse, in the VIP box alongside President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other high-profile figures. Trump headlined the memorial with a fiery speech that hailed Kirk as “our greatest evangelist for American liberty” and a “martyr for American freedom.”
Elsewhere, Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow, delivered a tearful eulogy in which she stunned the crowd by forgiving her husband’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson. “The answer to hate is not hate,” she told the hushed stadium, drawing thunderous applause.
Later, in his own understated way, Jesse shared just five words on Instagram: “Charlie Kirk we love you.”
The post quickly drew a flood of emotional responses from fans. “Thank you for going. My deepest condolences for the loss of your friend,” one wrote. Another added: “Such an incredible tribute. Glad to see you and Emma there.”
Fans React
Watters’ understated message resonated with many who saw it as a reflection of the solemnity of the day. “As a Christian, being there was one of the most beautiful moments in my walk with God,” one mourner commented. “You could feel His spirit there working.”
Others simply expressed gratitude that Watters, a prominent Fox News colleague, was present. “Awesome! I knew you’d be there,” one fan wrote. Another confessed, “I saw you Jesse! I wanted so bad to take a picture with you, but it was just an honor to see you.”
A Moment of Contrast
While Erika’s message centered on forgiveness, Trump broke with her appeal and admitted, “I hate my opponent and I don’t want the best for them. I’m sorry, Erika.”
The contrast underscored the different ways Kirk’s life and death are being interpreted across the movement he helped inspire.
A Legacy Remembered
For Jesse Watters, the tribute needed no explanation. Five words, “Charlie Kirk we love you,” captured the sense of loss felt by millions and the bond between two conservative voices who had often stood side by side.
