In a shocking twist to the ongoing It Ends With Us legal battle, Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, has been identified as the insider who allegedly disclosed Blake Lively’s threat to expose private messages — and the connection is leaving fans stunned.
The claim, revealed in a Daily Mail report on Friday, May 23, suggests that Scott Swift voluntarily provided the information to Justin Baldoni’s legal team in exchange for their agreement to withdraw a subpoena issued to Taylor earlier this month.
“Scott Swift did not want his daughter to be dragged into this any further and he voluntarily gave up this information as part of a deal,” a source close to the situation told the outlet.
The Alleged Threat and Legal Fallout
According to court documents filed by Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman, Lively’s lawyer, Michael Gottlieb, allegedly contacted Swift’s team with a demand: that Taylor release a public statement supporting Blake Lively amid the escalating legal conflict.
The motion claims the request came with an intimidating caveat — that if Swift refused, private, personal text messages in Lively’s possession could be released.
“Blake’s team tried to extort Taylor by threatening to release private information about her,” another source said. “They wanted to force her into supporting a narrative she was never part of.”
Freedman stated in the filing that he had spoken for over an hour with “a person very closely linked to Taylor Swift,” who confirmed the allegation. At the time, Scott Swift’s identity was kept confidential.
Blake Lively Denies the Accusation
Lively’s legal team has denied all allegations, calling the claims false and “an attempt to weaponize private matters.”
The Gossip Girl star, who is locked in a bitter legal feud with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, previously accused Baldoni of misconduct — allegations he has denied and countered with his own claims of defamation and manipulation.
