Bindi Irwin, aged 26, provided an update following her emergency appendectomy in the United States, which occurred while she was present at the Steve Irwin Gala in Las Vegas. Shortly after her arrival, she experienced a ruptured appendix and was immediately taken into surgery. In addition to addressing the appendicitis, the surgeons removed 14 endometriosis lesions and repaired a hernia that had developed post her childbirth in 2021.
Bindi, who has been struggling with endometriosis for an extended period, expressed her appreciation to her medical team and acknowledged the excellent care she received at Lenox Hill Hospital. She also commended her brother, Robert Irwin, for organizing the gala in her stead and reassured her fans that she will be present at the upcoming event in Brisbane this November.
Robert informed People that she attempted to endure the pain but required immediate surgical intervention. Bindi has openly discussed her health challenges, disclosing last year that she suffered from more than ten years of undiagnosed pain caused by endometriosis. She remains committed to raising awareness about this condition and is currently concentrating on her recovery.
